Day 29: Jet Planes and Pure Pain

We ended yesterday with a 45 minute walk back to the hotel from the North End. It was over 2 miles and we passed the finish line to the Boston Marathon where the bombs went off.  There was an impromptu memorial that was touching.  Runners of the marathon tied their shoes to the guard rail, there were signs, pictures, and letters. It was amazing to see such out pouring of emotions.

Full disclosure:

I was unable to complete my AM exercise this morning unless you are willing to count navigating TSA and loading a plane.  I won’t. I was unable to this morning unless I would have been willing to get up at 3:30 and I am drawing a line there because that is just not going to happen. There comes a point where you are not performing AM exercises, instead, you are working out in the past.

I don’t know, maybe my times are shifting but I use to consider anything before 5 in the morning early, I have revised that to 4:30, but I must say that 3:30 is the middle of the night.  I can’t justify that.

I flew home and went straight to work, that left this afternoon for me to jog.  This time my jog was a need not a want.  For the last three days I have eaten whatever I wanted and abandoned all disregard towards any semblance of watching what I eat.  The result was multiple trips to Little Italy and various pasta dishes, pastries, muffins, and Star Bucks Frappuccino’s.   I was out of control and refuse to weigh myself since I don’t see the point I know what the scale will tell me.

Why do we do this to ourselves?  Is it a lack of restraint?  Is it a lack of discipline?  Either way this point I am too tired to think and will just skip ahead to the recap.

Tomorrow will resume the AM Exercise.
