Day 33: Pain! Too Much Pain!

My legs are still shot! I can’t believe it.  It seems I am going to need more recovery time. This morning when I got up I could barely move let alone jog so again I walked the neighborhood. Each step was painful and remained me again of how stupid I am. 

Fridays are half days at work and I had planned on resting some today to try to recover from the dead lifts that seem to have crippled me. My front yard had other plans.  If you want to know how to grow a jungle all you have to do is visit my front yard. Heavy rains fed the weeds that keep surviving the Weed and Feed that I put down within hours you have a tropical rain forest that needs trimming.

My lazy afternoon was spent mowing down out of control grass, which as you know, I do count as exercise.  It took about an hour to complete my whole front yard and I was done.  Every step was painful.  In addition I kept thinking I needed to do Shoulders and Chest. 

I was afraid to use the free weights again; after all I seem to have ruined myself on deadlifts. Like any good fat guy I have a collection of exercise equipment stashed away for a rainy day.  I pulled the ole’ box out and whipped out my exercise bands.  I don’t know if you have ever used exercise bands but they can be tough.

I completed three shoulder press sets and for chest I stuck with pushups for now, trying to keep everything to a minimum.  Give me a beak already! At least on the Biggest Loser they have personal trainers and hot tubs, ice tubs, and everything a body would need to recover from inflicting damage on oneself .

For someone who could barely move all day I did cut grass for almost an hour and you should see my yard it looks good.
