When do I turn the corner?
Do you ever wake up exhausted? I do.
Today was one of those days were I was just plane tired. I don’t think the fact that we have had 5
days of almost continuous rain the reason for my exhaustion, but I am not ruling
it out.
Rain. It steals your motivation and destroys your plans
for the day and it doesn’t even feel guilty about it. We had a mid-day reprieve from these summer
thunderstorms that have been plaguing us like something out of scary children’s
fairy tale. If the trend that is
predicted by meteorologist continues then we will have had 8 days of rain. That is enough to make a person stir crazy.
Then there is the issue of the both the garden and the
grass. Our garden seems to be draining
well but today I got out in it and started weeding and it is a jungle. The back yard is a total mess as well and the
vast majority of the non-raining part of the day had to be dedicated to attempting
to save them.
Humidity wise it was off the chart since I am pretty sure
you can’t surpass 100%. Not only was it
hard to breathe at times, but also you had to deal with the heat. My veggies my love it but for a living warm blooded
creature it is pure pain.
I was able to pick a large amount of veggies before the
rain bullied it way in.
I am counting the time I spent outside today. I wouldn’t be able to jog and was zapped by
the Georgia July heat to do much of anything else. Maybe it is a cheap way of getting in my
exercise but I can assure that tonight I am whipped.
Our total time out doing yard work was 3 hours.
