I have talked about life getting in the way and today was
one of those examples. My 7 year old
Great Dane, Isabella, was not acting like normal cheery self. Anyone who has ever owned a giant breed dog
knows that when they don’t act right you take them to the vet. There are too many things that can go wrong
with a dog that big.
As it turns out everything seems to be okay. But it’s better to be safe than sorry. That means that I didn’t get my jog in until
7:30 and when I was finished I still had to run to the store to get something
for dinner. I didn’t get a chance to eat dinner until 9:00.
After I cleaned up from dinner, showered and got ready
for bed it was past 10 and I am usually crawling into bed at 9. It’s amazing how you can get into a routine
and then having to take an unexpected hour and a half detour your entire
evening is thrown out of whack.
At least when I was finally able to jog the sun was far
enough down that my entire route was in the shade. I am still working on building speed. I went back and looked at my saved jogs on
RunKeeper. And I am trending faster with
each jog.
That was my day and it was not fun. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
