I love half day Fridays.
I think they may be the most productive day of the week. I spend a half day at work and then come home
and spend a half day working at home. Last
week I knocked out a good portion of my water pipe problem. Today I got my whole house cleaned and a ton
of yard work done including front and back yard mowed.
Meanwhile on Facebook…
A friend of mine posed a question about aspartame. There
has been so much misleading information about this particular food additive that
I didn’t know where to start. Aspartame
has been blamed for some many health issues that it’s not even funny. The only problem is that it has never been
linked to any of the health issues that pop up.
Aspartame is one of the most widely used and widely
studied food additives in the world. It
has been in our food since 1981. If it
could be linked to any health issue at all a class action law suit would have
been won by now but it hasn’t.
What do I think of aspartame? Personally I try to keep consumption of
products that contain aspartame to a minimum.
Why? Well, while I feel that
aspartame is perfectly safe when you eat paleo you try to keep consumption of
anything that is now 100% natural to a minimum.
I don’t condemn anyone who decides to consume a couple liters of diet
soda a day or whatever, that is a personal choice.
Online I have seen the signs that link aspartame to
everything from Alzheimer’ to diabetes to brain tumors. It is always painted as one of the most evil substances on the face
of planet. A little research and you
will see that it is not tied defects to any, nor has been proven to cause
anything at all in the human body..
I trust you to make decisions that are right for you and
your family. Research all foods and
additives and see if it is something that you really want to put in your mouth
and body.
As I have said before when they interview someone who is
at a centennial position in their life they never, ever say that they made it
too 100 years of age from proper colon cleanses and vitamins. It is almost always from drinking beer and
eating cake.
If that is the real recipe to eternal life then I should
pretty much live forever.
And now please welcome the…
Daily Recap:
Matt: I will count
my two hours of yard work where I pushed myself and for the first time I got a
side stitch while mowing the grass.
