Day 77: A Beautiful Day on the Lake

To run or not to run that is the question I asked myself this morning.  I decided against it for two reasons.

One, my knee has been bothering me a little.  Not much but another day of rest would probably be a good idea.  I don’t want to overdue to a point where I would have to stop jogging since jogging is my number one physical activity.  So much so, I set a new goal in RunKeeper of 25 miles in fourteen days.

Two, we had planned on kayaking this afternoon.  Thankfully we were able to get the boat out on the water for a nice little paddle around the lake.  It was a beautiful day and I think everyone who could put a motorized boat on the water was out.

See, Lake Peachtree is one of those where you have to have a house that has lake rights in order to enjoy the lake.  If you don’t have lake rights you are only allowed a trolling motor or of coarse anything that is human powered.

We were on the water about an hour and I felt my weight workout from the day before.  My shoulders were burning and my back lats were tiring out and feeling sore.  It wasn’t a debilitating pain like I have had in the past, but rather one of those pains were you just feel like you worked it a bit too much.

This evening I realized I felt my porch weight workout all over.   In addition to my upper body being doubly sore from the kayaking and such but I could feel the Dead Lifts and squats in my gluts.  Over all my body is feeling good and I really don’t have any complaints.

Tomorrow I am going to hit the gym in the evening and try to get in some treadmill time.

Daily recap;

Matt and Kelly: 1 hour out on a beautiful day kayaking.
