I took off for half day Friday which you know I love. Well, I headed home and loaded the double
kayak and Kelly and I headed for the lake. This is where the exercise
started.
My nephew, God Bless him, can’t row a kayak for
crud. He tried and he poor guy
failed. No matter how many times I
showed him the proper way to row, even adjusting his hand grips so that he held
the paddle in the correct place he just couldn’t get it.
What does that mean?
For half the kayak trip I spent more time fighting his poor rowing and
trying to keep the boat straight than anything else. By the end I was tired and my shoulders and
back were burning from the strain.
However it was a great day out on the lake our two
nephews and our niece. In case you are
wondering my niece who is the same age as my nephew can row a kayak like it was
her job.
Daily Recap:
Matt: A little over an hour out on the lake kayaking
Kelly: 30 with her personal trainer in the AM. Then a little over an hour on the lake as
well.
