Day 83: Yard Work, Ghee, and Matchbox Twenty

Saturday was a little like every other Saturday in my life.  Too much to do too little time.  Every wish like I do that there was 36 hours in the day in order to get everything that feels like has to be done completed.

Most of the day I had the old theme song from Smokey and Bandit running though my head, you know, “We have a long way to go… and a short time to get there.”

First we made a ton of our homemade spaghetti sauce from some of the thirty pounds of Roma tomatoes that we harvested from our garden.  Then we had to make some ghee.

In addition to all that we had tickets to a concert and on top of that as always on Saturday I had to get some yard work done including gardening.  I was going to try to get a run in but that wasn’t going to happen.  I eventually spent somewhere around 30 minutes in the garden with a shovel, turning ground and weeding. After that it was onto my shed and yard tools.

I had to pull out my weed eater to do some trimming and cutting in especially around my flower beds and side walk. Afterwards there was still quite a bit of cutting to do.  As always the humidity was awful and I was completely drenched by the time I was done.

That was pretty much it for Saturday.  Once done I had to shower and we were off to our concert.  Matchbox Twenty was really good and the evening became bearable all in all we had a good time.
