When I got my new shoes I did some research to try to
determine how long I should use them. Most
of all the information that I found stated that a pair of shoes should last
some between three to four months or 300 to 400 miles.
Looking at the tread wear on my shoes today I don’t know
how much truth there is to how long shoes should last. I have somewhere around two hundred or so
miles with my shoes, by my calculation, and either I am really hard on my shoes
or there was some other reason the tread is wearing completely on the
soles. Bottom line is I have maybe
another few weeks left on my shoes.
I am wearing the back soles of my shoes out. We took our niece
shopping for a new backpack for back to school and while we were out I looked
at several different sports stores for new shoes. I didn’t buy today but I have an idea of
where I am going to go when I finally decide I need new shoes.
Today we hit the gym.
It was me versus the Life Fitness machines part three. Again the Life
Fitness machine won. After I followed
the online instructions to build a work out I plugged my USB dive in and
selected my workout. The first interval
worked and after that it went to a cool down and ended my workout. Clearly I have to find out why I am having
such problems with this machine.
After my fail I wasn’t feeling the work out. It was
hard. I decided to see how high I could
get my heart rate without running. I
eventually set the treadmill to 3.5 miles an hour with a 13 incline and the
muscles were burning in the back of my legs.
I was huffing and puffing the whole time. My heart rate? I got it up to 147 bpm.
Daily Recap:
Matt and Kelly: 30
minute treadmill workout at the gym. I
won’t lie. For me it was brutal.
