Day 178: Jogging in the Dark

Today I went for a walk after lunch at work. Not a long one about 10 minutes but long enough to walk around the “Galleria Gardens” as it is called outside my building.  It was a beautiful day and I was surprised at how quite it is.  Although there is a hotel and a mall right across the street there was only a hand full of people out and half those were maintenance men working on cleaning out the fountain.

The “Galleria Gardens” are a strip between the cluster of 5 building simply called the Galleria where I work.  The company I work for is located in the 300 building so we our 2nd floor lobby opens out into the middle of the gardens.  It is also where all the food trucks park for “Food Truck Tuesdays.”

After work I wanted to try my legs at jogging again. This time was much better.  Again I wasn’t going to set a speed record but I was able to keep a steady pace.  I was surprised at how fast the sun went down and the last quarter of my jog was spent in almost dark.  I am going to have to get one of those reflecting vests.

Daily Recap:
Matt:  Both a walk and a jog
Kelly: TBD
