Day 187: Game Day

As I may have mentioned before, every Friday is game day with the family.  We all get together have dinner of some sort (usually takeout) and play games like cards, board games, etc.  I go to work earlier than usual so I can leave earlier thus making it home in time to work out without impeding the flow of game night.

It was cold, wet, and rainy all day today so when I got home I knew that I wasn’t going to run outside.  I changed and headed to the gym.  Simply enough I hit the treadmill, but that is not what I want to talk about.  I also went with a secondary purpose in mind: To identify the crazy gym people at my new gym.

I guess because, as I have said before, out new gym is way more family oriented I haven’t really found any of the crazies that were at our last gym.  There doesn’t seem to be that element of psycho that permeated Atlanta Fitness.

I was discussing it with Kelly and she had a sound theory.  Our last gym was surrounded with several huge apartment complexes.  These complexes attract single people in droves who are out to impress others in their peer group. Bodyplex, on the other hand, is surrounded by upper middle class subdivisions, a different type of people all together.  Makes sense to me.

Daily Recap:
Matt: Running on the Treadmill

Kelly: Treadmill workout
