I love caffeine! There I have said it. I don’t care who knows. As far as I am concerned caffeine is good for
you. I have believed that for a long
time and my belief was reaffirmed some years ago with a National Geographic
story on all the good things that caffeine does for you.
A few of the point that remember off the top of my head:
1. It
helps you think. Caffeine increased
blood flow to the brain enriching your brain cells with oxygen.
2. Because
of this it is believed that caffeine can help battle Alzheimer’s and other
brain disorders.
3. It
is a stimulate, it can alleviate fatigue, increase your energy, and improve
your physical stamina.
4. As
a result of it being a stimulate it can help you burn fat.
The list went on and on.
It even credited the caffeine as a direct cause of the industrial revolution. Why am I going on and on about caffeine? Well, even though I love it and start my
every day with and energy drink that is the equivalent of two cups of coffee
sometimes I overdo it.
Today when I got home I was dragging a little so I had a
cup of coffee as a pick me up before I went to the gym. The problem was less than an hour before I
had an energy drink that I am so fond of
(it’s a mix that I get from the grocery store that you mix with 16 oz of
water and comes in different flavors.)
I felt a little sick by the end of the workout. I knew that I had over done the
caffeine. Not to worry. I don’t blame my good friend Caffeine instead
I blame myself. I should have known
better. I can’t say it won’t happen
again but I will try not to.
