Day 198: Old Guys with Weights

Kelly did back to back workouts with her trainer and was too sore to hit the gym with me.  I wanted to hit the weights.  As I have mentioned before we have a new gym and since it closer to suburbia there are more older clientele.  There are a couple of older men I would think in their late 50’s and early 60’s who I have only seen one other time and they are serious about weightlifting. 

It’s intimidating to see a couple of old guys throw down on the pull down machine and then you follow behind them and have to set the weights lower.  Not that I could pull down what they had, I could, rather I could only do it a few times.  I followed them on the Chest Press machine too.  Not good.

I don’t think either one of these two have to worry about falling down and not getting back up.  I am not saying they had Hulk Hogan physics, they did not. They looked mostly normal but they were throwing down some weights for sure. 

I made it through my workout and was pleased to see that there was one place I could beat them.  Neither one maxed out the leg press machine.  I can and I can add weight to it.
